Rooted in Chicago’s vibrant music scene, The Front Desk is a six-piece band fusing funk, soul, rock, and jazz into a sound distinctly their own. Since forming in 2023, The Front Desk has built a reputation for shows that get people singing along while laying down playful, improvisational tunes.

In fall 2023, The Front Desk began a monthly residency at Rose’s Lounge, hosting open jam sessions for local musicians. The following spring, they released four singles leading up to their self-titled debut album, ‘The Front Desk,’ a genre-spanning collection that showcases the punchy trombone riffs, powerful vocals, and elegant bass solos emblematic of their sound.

Since then, they have sold out venues across Chicago and played on classic stages from Martyrs’ to Reggie’s to Cubby Bear, infusing fresh songs and sounds as they go. Following the release of their first live single, “Thursdays,” they announced their first headline tour, “The Front Desk: Checking In.”

You can find them playing shows up and down the East Coast, and at home on the third coast, this August.
